Sunflower

4 x 4 oil on panel

This was fun! I painted this for the DPW challenge the Sunflower(s) Challenge. I am hoping to get a couple more of these painted for the small show I'm doing in Mackinaw later this month.

Lot's of family things going on right now. Good and bad. I'm not sure when I'll be able to get back to painting regularly. So I thought I would try painting even smaller for a while because of time restraints.

Hope everyone had a great 4th!

  1. small is smart right now.

I love everything about this painting. It's kinda abstract, the colors pop, and it's very painterly. I even love that its 4x4.

  3. Flowers...the final frontier! I guess there is no limit to what you can paint, and paint well! My hat is off to you. This is just gorgeous. Very appealing brushwork and colors. I'll be thinking about you...let me know if you need anything.
