Around The Bend

10" x 10" oil on cradled board

I have finally finished the painting of runners I was working on before my trip. I had a lot of people telling me to call it done earlier so I hope I didn't ruin it. I'm still learning to keep a composition interesting as I go a little larger. It seems so easy when all you have is one or two subjects on a small board. But things are a lot different when you go larger.

I love how this woman is leaving the others in the dust!

  1. It's good to see you working a little larger, Cathy. Yay! The title is perfect, because I can really feel these runners taking the curve. The woman taking the lead is perfect!

  3. She has the best form and concentration. Love all the colors and varying shadow. A lot to look at here.
